If your bike has a race number, the RockShox SID SL is the perfect choice! Designed for racing, this fork features an ultralight 32mm chassis, Charger RL damping, and a DebonAir air spring – ensuring maximum performance with minimal weight.

 

The remote lockout function (not included) allows for lightning-fast fork lockout – ideal for technical climbs in XC races. Thanks to SKF seals, the fork operates especially smoothly and remains low-maintenance for a long time.

    Welche Federgabel passt zu meinem Bike?

    Wichtig sind vor allem vier Punkte: Laufradgröße, Federweg, Gabelschaft und Achsmaß.

    Die neue Gabel sollte zur vorhandenen Radgröße passen, also zum Beispiel 27,5 Zoll oder 29 Zoll. Außerdem müssen Gabelschaft und Achsmaß zum Rahmen und zum Vorderrad passen.

    Am sichersten vergleichst du die Daten mit der alten Gabel oder prüfst sie über die Angaben des Fahrradherstellers.

    Kann ich eine Federgabel mit mehr Federweg einbauen?

    Kleine Abweichungen sind oft unkritisch. Rund 10 mm mehr oder weniger Federweg funktionieren bei vielen Bikes problemlos.

    Ein deutlich anderer Federweg verändert aber Geometrie, Sitzposition und Fahrverhalten. Außerdem kann die Belastung für Rahmen und Steuerrohr steigen.

    Offiziell sollte der Rahmenhersteller freigeben, welcher Federweg erlaubt ist. Besonders bei größeren Abweichungen solltest du dort nachfragen.

    Welchen Gabelschaft brauche ich?

    Entscheidend ist, ob dein Bike einen geraden oder tapered Gabelschaft benötigt.

    Ein tapered Schaft ist unten breiter als oben. Von außen ist das nicht immer eindeutig zu erkennen, deshalb solltest du die alte Gabel am besten ausbauen oder die technischen Daten des Rahmens prüfen.

    Der Gabelschaft muss zum Steuerrohr und Steuersatz deines Rahmens passen.

    Was bedeuten Offset und Achsmaß?

    Das Achsmaß muss exakt zu deinem Vorderrad passen, zum Beispiel 15x110 mm Boost. Prüfe dafür Achsdurchmesser und Einbaubreite.

    Der Offset beschreibt, wie weit die Achse vor der gedachten Linie des Gabelschafts sitzt. Er beeinflusst das Lenkverhalten.

    Ein anderer Offset ist oft fahrbar, verändert aber das Handling leicht. Wenn du möglichst nah am Original bleiben willst, wähle denselben oder einen sehr ähnlichen Offset.
