Bicycle bottom brackets occasionally need to be removed for maintenance, replacement, or upgrade. The Park Tool BBT-9 Bottom Bracket Tool is used for removing and installing selected threaded bottom brackets with 16-notch tool fittings, including Shimano®, SRAM® GXP, Chris King®, Campagnolo®, and many others. This tool fitting is also found on some disc brake rotor lockrings.

In addition, the BBT-9 includes a tool for removing and installing Shimano Hollowtech II 8-point crank arm end caps. The long plated steel handle provides good leverage for high-torque applications and is vinyl-dipped for comfort.
