The DT Swiss 240 Straightpull rear hub with 12x148 mm Boost, 6-bolt disc mount, and 28 spoke holes is the ideal basis for lightweight, stiff, and highly durable MTB and E-MTB wheels. It combines the low weight of the 240 platform with the latest Ratchet EXP 36 freehub technology and a Shimano HG freehub body (Shimano Light).

The Ratchet EXP system ensures direct, loss-free power transmission and outstanding reliability through large-area interlocking ratchets – even under high drive and braking forces. By integrating the ratchet into the threaded ring, components are reduced, weight is saved, and bearing spacing is increased. This significantly increases axle stiffness and durability of the hub.

The Straightpull design with 28 holes distributes the load evenly and allows for the construction of stiff, precise wheels – whether for demanding trails, Enduro stage rides, or fast E-MTB missions. Thanks to the No-Tool concept, end caps and the freehub body can be removed without tools, making maintenance and conversion to other DT Ratchet freehub bodies particularly easy.

The hub is also approved for e-bikes up to 32 km/h / 250 W, making it perfectly suited for modern E-MTB wheels with Shimano HG cassettes. The robust sealing system and high-quality industrial bearings ensure silky-smooth running – even after many thousands of kilometers in the dirt.
