Bicycle bottom brackets occasionally need to be removed for maintenance, replacement, or upgrades. The Park Tool BBT-9 bottom bracket tool is used to remove and install selected threaded bottom brackets with 16-notch tool fittings, including Shimano®, SRAM® GXP, Chris King®, Campagnolo®, and many others. This tool fitting is also found on some brake disc lockrings.

In addition, the BBT-9 includes a tool for removing and installing Shimano 8-point Hollowtech II crank arm end caps. The long plated steel handle provides good leverage for high-torque applications and is vinyl-coated for greater comfort.
