The Öhlins STX 22 Air in the size 200 x 51 mm (model 1881) is a versatile air shock for demanding MTB use. Its large-diameter piston works together with a finely tuned compression valve to keep oil flow inside the shock under optimal control - for sensitive response, plenty of grip, and a planted, controlled riding feel.

The separately adjustable high- and low-speed compression damping and rebound damping can be adjusted externally. A Climb Mode is also available, making the rear end firmer for long climbs and improving pedaling efficiency and traction. On descents, you benefit from finely tunable support through the middle of the travel without having to sacrifice reserves for hard impacts.

The STX 22 Air's air spring uses a low-friction sealing system that enables rapid pressure equalization between the air chambers. The result: sensitive initial travel, controlled damping through the mid-stroke, and high bottom-out resistance. The air pressure, volume spacers, and oil volume allow the spring curve to be tuned from relatively linear to distinctly progressive - matched to your riding style, frame, and intended use.

The hard-anodized aluminum body ensures low weight starting at approx. 340 g and high durability. As is customary with Öhlins, the shock is fully serviceable and therefore ideally suited to servicing, maintenance, and individual tuning. A 2-year warranty underscores its high-quality construction.
